Stock market holiday: Is Indian stock market open today?
Today, on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr, many investors might wonder if the Indian stock market is open or closed. To confirm, they can visit the official BSE website or directply access the list of stock market holidays in 2024. Today, the market is closed, as listed in the schedule due to Gudi Padwa celebrations.
Looking ahead, next week will also see a truncated trading week as the market will remain closed on Wednesday for Ram Navami. Following that, there are no more holidays in April 2024.
In May, there will be two holidays. Initially, only Maharashtra Day was marked as a holiday on May 1st. However, due to the Lok Sabha elections, another holiday has been announced on May 20th.
June and July each have one holiday. In June, the market will be closed on the 17th for Bakdi Eid, and in July, it will be closed on the 17th for Muharram.

The Nifty 50 closed at a record high of 22,753, marking a gain of 111 points, while the BSE Sensex closed at 75,038, up by 354 points. The bank Nifty index also surged, ending at 48,986, after touching a new peak of 49,057.
