CUET-PG 2024 Results Expected Soon, Says UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced that the results of the CUET-PG 2024 (Common University Eligibility Test for Postgraduate programs) are expected to be released by tonight, with the National Testing Agency (NTA) diligently working towards this goal.
Jagadesh Kumar, the chairman of UGC, shared on April 12 that NTA is striving to announce the CUET-PG results by tonight. These scores hold significant importance as they determine admission into various postgraduate programs across Indian universities. Kumar also extended his best wishes to all the candidates who took the CUET-PG exam.
The CUET-PG exam, which concluded on March 28, saw an impressive turnout with over 4.62 lakh candidates participating. This marked the highest-ever participation in the test, with a staggering 4,62,725 candidates registering for CUET PG 2024.
The NTA carried out CUET-PG this year from March 11 to 23 and March 27 to 28, conducting the exam in online mode across 565 different centers in 253 cities. Notably, nine cities outside India, including Manama, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Ottawa, Abu Dhabi, Vienna, and Doha, also hosted the exam.
Introduced in 2022, CUET-PG serves as the gateway for admission into various PG programs in central and state universities and institutions. In 2023, the exam witnessed participation from around 4,59,083 candidates.
The significance of CUET-PG lies in its ability to streamline the admission process for postgraduate programs, providing candidates with a standardized platform to showcase their academic abilities. With its increasing popularity and widespread acceptance, CUET-PG continues to play a crucial role in shaping the academic landscape of higher education in India.
As candidates eagerly await the announcement of the results, the efforts of NTA and the UGC reflect a commitment to transparency and efficiency in the admission process, ensuring equal opportunities for all aspiring postgraduate students.
